Inspired by a real-life pup who was a friend to all, Charlie shows readers of all ages the importance of friendship, courage, and being true to yourself.

🐾About Charlie’s Creators

Regia Sargent loved writing, teaching, acting, and caring for marine mammals -- but she especially loved telling a good story. Charlie's Friendly Adventures was her dream project, inspired by her very real and very friendly dog, Charlie. She believed Charlie embodied all of the kindness we would love to see in the world, and felt Charlie could show others how to be a good friend.

Regia asked her sister Carella Herberger, an artist and educator, to illustrate Charlie's tales, and they collaborated on the series for several years. Although Regia passed before the stories were published, Carella is bringing Regia's stories to the world with love and care.
